Salem Support Systems offers 3 different types of compensation programs.

·        Salaried Employee - all salaried employees are eligible for all the benefits above including 8 paid holidays, 5 paid personal days, and 10 paid vacation days.  Salem Support Systems contributes 50% of health insurance premiums for salaried employees and their families.  Life insurance and short term disability are offered at no cost to the employee.  Salaried employees are able to participate in our SARSEP program, which is our self-directed retirement savings plan.  All SARSEP contributions and insurance premiums are made on a pre-tax basis.   Our computer based training courses are also available at no cost to the employee.  Additionally, salaried employees receive straight-time pay for overtime hours.

·        Hourly Employee - Hourly employees are compensated on an hourly W2 basis.  They may choose the insurance coverages listed above and pay the full premium.  Life insurance and short term disability are offered at no additional cost.  Hourly employees are able to participate in our SARSEP program, which is a retirement savings plan.  All contributions to the SARSEP and insurance premiums are made pre-tax.   Our computer based training courses are also available at no cost to the employee.

·        1099/Independent Contractor - Salem Support Systems offers this option for consultants who have incorporated their own company and work on a 1099 basis.  All Independent Contractors must be incorporated and carry their own Worker's Compensation and General Liability Insurance.
